Goal 10

Reduce inequalities within and between countries

Implementation of Goal 10 will allow to:

  • achieve and maintain an increase in the income obtained by the poorest 40% of the population at a level higher than the national average;
  • promote and strengthen the social, economic, and political inclusion of all people, regardless of age, gender, disability, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, or economic or other status;
  • ensure equal opportunities and reduce existing inequalities by eliminating discriminatory laws, policies, and practices and creating appropriate legislation, policies, and actions in this area;
  • improve regulation and monitoring of global financial markets and institutions, and strengthen implementation of these regulations;
  • strengthen representation and voice of developing countries in the decision-making process in international economic and financial institutions to build more effective, credible, accountable, and law-abiding institutions;
  • facilitate safe, regular, and responsible migration and movement of people, including through the implementation of planned and well-managed migration policies;
  • provide Official Development Assistance and financial flows, including foreign direct investment, to countries most in need, in particular least developed countries, African countries, small island states, and landlocked countries, in accordance with national plans and programs of these countries.
