Implementation of Goal 2 will allow to:

eliminate hunger and provide access to safe food for everyone all year round;
- increase agricultural productivity and incomes for small food producers, especially women and indigenous peoples;
- provide safe access to land and natural resources and knowledge about them;
- enable implementation of resilient farming practices that increase efficiency and production;
- strengthen ability to adapt to climate change, weather phenomena and ecological disasters allowing and increasing soil quality;
- prevent trade restrictions and irregularities in global agricultural markets;
- stimulate mechanisms for the proper functioning of food markets;
- provide access to up-to-date information on food reserves and eliminate instability of food prices.
