Goal 2

End hunger, achieve food security and better nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture

Implementation of Goal 2 will allow to:

  • eliminate hunger and provide access to safe food for everyone all year round;
  • increase agricultural productivity and incomes for small food producers, especially women and indigenous peoples;
  • provide safe access to land and natural resources and knowledge about them;
  • enable implementation of resilient farming practices that increase efficiency and production;
  • strengthen ability to adapt to climate change, weather phenomena and ecological disasters allowing and increasing soil quality;
  • prevent trade restrictions and irregularities in global agricultural markets;
  • stimulate mechanisms for the proper functioning of food markets;
  • provide access to up-to-date information on food reserves and eliminate instability of food prices.
