Achieve gender equality and empower women and girls

Implementation of Goal 5 will allow to:

end discrimination, all forms of violence, and all harmful practices in all forms against women and girls everywhere;
ensure women's full and effective participation in decision-making processes at all levels in political, economic, and public life, as well as equal opportunities to perform leadership functions;
allow for reforms to ensure equal rights for women in access to economic resources, property rights, control over land and other property, financial services, inheritance, and natural resources, in accordance with national law;
promote the use of technology, in particular information and communication technologies, to contribute to the empowerment of women.
